The Garden is Going Crazy! ------------- Yay! ------------

This appears to be a banner year for growing things. Disease is practically if not nonexistent!  The insect world seem to be in near perfect balance!

Anananas Noir

I hope everyone else's gardens are in the same harmony as mine!

Chocolate Cherry

I am almost finished with my second new garden bed, hoping it turns out as successful as the first, where after a month, ten of my tomatoes are higher than the fence!

Golden Rave

This year almost by insanity, ;-P , I am growing 26 different kinds of tomatoes! The reason for diversity is in case something fails you can yank it without feeling a loss!

Black Cherry (Screaming Pick Me, Pick Me! Eat Me!)

I also had many old seeds I did not think would germinate, and traded some friends for some varieties I never had!

Sun Gold

Cucumbers are being picked everyday!

Armenian Yard Long (picked early at a foot)
Lemon Cucumbers

Some eaten fresh some are made into refrigerator pickles!

Lemon Cucumber

My fig tree is rockin' and with this last rain I think "Figgy Heaven" is just days away!

Figs

Plums look great too!

Redheart Plums

First year my Redheart will crop!

Redheart Plums
I had a great year with onions too and they were planted late in the spring!

Sweet and Red Onions

My Asparagus was not as pretty as in past years!

Purple Passion Asparagus (from a few years ago)

I had some minor problems with asparagus beetles, but was able to keep it in check without using any pesticides through the harvest which ended in the end of May. Now I believe I have some beneficial bugs coming to the rescue!

I will do a post about good bugs and bad bugs at another time!
