It's always a great feeling of accomplishment to finish a
new garden bed!
I am very proud of my new Tomato Bed, both in design and
functionality as well as the use of resources that happened my way!
My friend Cathy at Pots N Pansies gave me some wonderful
containers. I cut the bottoms off and wedged them into some weed block lawn
fabric. This way when I water it will encourage the roots to dig deep into the
soil, and save water too!
So last weekend I finally got my first set of tomatoes into
the ground! Fifteen beautiful plants started from seed Nine Heirlooms and Six
Hybrids.
Ten of the Fifteen are already flowering and Two are setting fruit
already!
Got some great bamboo from a job I did with The CateringCompany of Chapel Hill from the tent decorators, some awesome scraps that they
were going to toss out!
Well you know they say "one man's trash is another
man's treasure!"
